Baptists on Mission
The Baptists on Mission vision is "Every Christian sharing God's love with hurting people through word and deed". We believe that all Christians are called, gifted and sent. Our desire is to help involve our congregation (women, men, and students) in missions and ministry in Jesus' name.
Our goal is to encourage Christians to be involved in missions. Effective ministries develop Christians who are in love with our Lord and committed to knowing and doing the will of God.
This ministry is designed to reflect a balance between helping people come to Christ and growing in discipleship through serving our church family, our community, and the world. We are challenged to be mentors to our young men and women. In addition, men and women are offered training in Disaster Relief for local, national, and international response as needed.
Inside our Baptists on Mission ministry here at First Baptist we have two organizations called Baptist Men. This organization builds wheelchair ramps, supports community missions and helps others in need, both physically and spiritually, showing the love of God by helping others. The other organization is Heart Sisters on Mission. You can read more about Heart Sisters on their page.
