Annual Fall Women’s Retreat
All women are invited to First Baptist Church of Butner’s Annual Fall Women’s Retreat on Saturday, September 26, 2026! This year’s theme is SEALED: Sisters Experiencing Abundant Living Every Day. We will be learning about the life-changing impact of the Bible Study Experiencing God, by Henry, Richard, & Mike Blackaby, and Claude V. King. We will have four sessions where we will learn about God-Centered Living, Listening When God Speaks, Life Changing Obedience, and Working Together As Kingdom People. Lynn Cooper will be our worship leader this year! A continental breakfast and light refreshments will be provided.
Our mission this year is collecting items for the Flat River Baptist Association’s ministry to the Granville County Detention Center. Many women in our Association have been visiting, having Bible Study, doing crafts, and loving on these women, and God is moving greatly in this ministry! Many of these ladies have made the decision to follow Christ! Please see the requested, approved list of items below.

- hygiene kits (exfoliating body wash was specifically requested)

WOMAN’S MISSIONARY UNION
The Woman’s Missionary Union is an auxiliary organization of the church for women to aid in the promotion of missionary concerns among the church fellowship. There is much more to this organization than the promotion of the special offerings for missions – rather the members of this group seek to learn and involve the total person in the challenge of carrying the gospel to all people.

Women on Mission
Women on Mission is the WMU organization for the women of this church. Every woman is invited to participate by attending the Women on Mission meetings and/or by joining in mission opportunities. Some of our activities include: SWAG Prom for person’s with special needs, ministry to nursing homes and children’s home; supporting CCM and ACIM; attending women’s conferences such as Women of Joy; getting to know each other through Secret Sisters and Women on Mission of the Week; bi-annual in-house Women on Mission Retreats.
